Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
